While I can not believe it still does not, but my last trip, along with Rotary Club my exchange and thus a further 100 exchange students, I have unfortunately already behind me.
Our tour took us eight days across Ecuador to be able to see again the most important of the country and admire.
It was on Saturday, 23:05:09, together with the people of Quito in two tourist buses going toward Manta, on the coast.
The approximately 9 hours long bus ride passed by loud music and conversation in a flash and already we had arrived at the hotel where even the other 60 boys and girls were waiting for us.
the evening there was a formal presentation in which we were divided by groups of countries and, of course, had to march with our blue blazers as a trademark, in a crowded hall to present ourselves.
was eaten at the hotel and the next morning already got up very early, because then it went on to the beach.
The weather was just right, so we spent some time, relaxed and happy on a beautiful sandy beach close to Manta. From there
took us out on the same day, the trip to the largest city in Ecuador, Guayaquil.
Since we only towards late afternoon arrived there were, we will visit the city only at night which is very nice and was even a little romantic, because we had, thanks to a high observation tower a great view of the lights of the city.
was a park the next morning, visited with many animals and plants, and about noon we went again to the bus to Cuenca.
Cuenca is one of the most beautiful cities in Ecuador and it is my opinion also. The architecture is very European and compare with the four major rivers, the city flow, also contribute to the flair.
We visited the town and made us a tour guide explain a lot. After lunch on a beautiful haciendas we visited a small town near Cuenca, known for its diverse and sometimes very cheap gold and silver jewelry.
In Cuenca we stayed two nights and then made our back on the track. First we had the opportunity to look at ancient Inca ruins, until it then went to one of the few train stations in Ecuador. It should really go by train, undzwar to Riobamba. Who knows Ecuador, can very well imagine a train ride, especially since the trains many, many years old are the same and through ravines, mountains and curves any train in Europe.
It was more like a bus ride, so we were shaken about 3 hours, but as always, but could enjoy a nice view of the countryside.
in Riobamba, a small and rather unimportant town, we were able to run around a bit before dinner and slept a night in a very nice hotel.
The next morning the bags were already loaded into the bus and once again it went in the next town, to Banos.
Banos is a very popular destination, especially for tourists. It is, among other rafting, bungee-jumping but also offered tours of waterfalls. The latter We have also put into action and one or the other, of course, could not resist a shower under the waterfall.
Then we went for a little stroll through the pleasant town, among other things, on the Artesania Market to buy souvenirs typical Ecuadorian.
in Banos, we have not stayed, but are from there directly went on to Quito, where we looked at the old town on the evening in the glow of their lights. The next morning, in a good mood and after an extensive breakfast, we took the bus to the first viewpoint, the Teleferico for me already the 4th or 5 Then we visited times
"Mitad del Mundo" the equator, so the center of the world, where of course an extensive photo shoot first decency.
After these two sites led us to the path continues to Ibarra. Again we stayed in a beautiful, sprawling hacienda. From there we went to Otavalo, one of the most important and largest full Indigenermärkte Artesania. Unfortunately, only too short 2 ½ hours to search, browse and buy were given.
complete the shopping trip, it was unceremoniously on to the crater lagoon Cuicocha. After a small climb mountain offered us a beautiful view of the sparkling water and its surroundings. At the end we made quickly in a small town containing that pretty much any store offering leather goods, and accordingly is known for.
completely exhausted and tired, it finally went back to our accommodation where we stood before our last night ...
We made a little farewell party with a slide show on our last trip together, and then loud music and dancing.
Some went, if not on that last evening, no later than the next morning in tears.
us the 102 exchange students we had to leave now, at least those who live in another part of Ecuador.
Sad but true, went to our 3rd Excursion to an end. Once again It was memorable and wonderful, but on the other hand, at least at parting, very sad and unfortunate, because who knows when we will see each other again next time ....
